Eight swimmers competed at the McCullagh International Meet in Dublin with 4 medals, 15 finals, and 7 personal bests. Lottie medalled in all backstroke events while Zach reached both breaststroke finals with PBs.
A heavy in-season meet for a small group - eight swimmers racing through long days against a strong international field. 4 medals | 15 finals | 7 PBs Lottie medalled in all backstroke events. Zach made both 50 & 100 Breaststroke finals with PBs. Eve took silver in a high-quality field. Lara K delivered a strong 800m, close to her best despite heavy training. Annie and Peggy stepped up for their first meet at this level. Lottie and Brandon continue to represent the club strongly while training at the National Centre in Bangor — great to see that connection maintained on the international stage. For where we are in the season, this was solid progress. The group handled the schedule well, supported each other across sessions, and even found time for a team dinner on Saturday night after long days poolside. Thank you to the parents who officiated, supported across sessions, and kept the coaches supplied with coffee - it doesn't go unnoticed. Ross, Paul and Josh (S&C) supported the group throughout the weekend. Recover well. Review properly. Build again.

During the break in finals on the last day of the Dave McCullagh International, Annie and Peggy competed at the Regional Skills Academy Interpros. Ulster were victorious, lifting the 2026 trophy.

Rosie Whitten, a lifelong Swim Belfast member training at Cleveland State University, competed at the Horizon League Conference Championships with strong performances including A Finals in the 200 Free.

On Saturday 15th February, Swim Belfast will host one of the largest club open meets in the region at the Lagan Valley LeisurePlex with over 800 swimmers from 26 clubs confirmed to compete.
