A busy weekend for COB swimmers, especially some of the younger swimmers who had an Aquasprint and Development galas back to back!

Firstly the Aquasprint team who hosted Ballymoney on Saturday evening 21st Jan. Well done to our Aquasprint team as they recorded their second win of 2017 with a victory over a spirited and talented Ballymoney Team. Despite being short a number of swimmers City of Belfast were too strong in the end, winning out by 226 points to 176. There were some great swims in all age groups, and COB dominated the Butterfly and Freestyle events. Well done to Isobella Ward who made her Aquasprint debut.

Many thanks to all our helpers. Our next fixture is another home tie against Ballymena on the 4th of February.

Then on Sunday 16 swimmers travelled to Larne for the second SU Development Meet of the season. Well done especially to those competing in their first development meet! Lot’s of medals too..Dulcie won 1 gold and 2 silver medals, Zoe a bronze, Jacob a gold and bronze at a QT, Cormac McCr a gold and QT, Cormac McCu a silver and 2 bronze, Donnach 2 silvers, Fionntan a silver. Thanks to Swim Ulster, all our parents who assisted poolside and coach Becca.
