COB continued their winning ways on Saturday evening with a thrilling PTL victory over a talented Enniskillen team. The final result was in doubt until the very last race. COB eventually emerged with a 574 to 566 victory.

COB began the day with a number of debutants, including Emma Rogan, Lizzy Samm, Amy Cummings-Bell, Ann Sweetnam, Angenni Vincent, Hannah Wilkinson, Sophia Young, Luke Heaver and Toby Thompson. Congratulations to Hannah Wilkinson who showed great endeavour in her first 50m Butterfly race.
The close nature of the contest was typified by the enthralling individual battles between COB’s Livvy McCrea and Enniskillen’s Ellie McCartney. There was literally the length of a fingernail between these 2 talented and committed swimmers in their ‘head to head’ battles.
Special mention also to Jericho Balgos who was victorious all 6 of his swims. Michael Hewitt, Alex McCrea and Florence Tinsley also added significantly to COB’s points total.
As has often been the case COB showed real strength in depth in the Butterfly and Frontcrawl events and the Freestyle relays, and therefore came from behind to secure this narrowest of victories.
Many thanks to PTL co-ordinator Andrea  Bowden who organised a great gala. Thanks also to all our parent helpers. I must also congratulate Enniskillen Swimming Club who made the long journey to Belfast with such a large and committed squad.
Thanks and best wishes also to Coach Iain, before he departs next weekend for 2 months on a deep sea diving course.

Next up for our PTL squad is a fixture against Olympia in Andersonstown on the 18th February.
